Monika Herrmann (Mayor of Berlin Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg), Rafal Miastowski (Mayor of Mokotóv-Warsaw), Jacek Kozlowski (President of the HEIWA Foundation Poland) and Steffen took part in a memorial event as a reminder of the atomic bombs being dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945. The commemoration in Volkspark Friedrichshain with the striking of the World Peace Bell takes place annually and is organized by the Berlin Peace Bell Society.
