Ladies and Gentlemen,
I would like to draw your attention to an important matter. A source in Ukraine, who wants to remain anonymous, has told us of the fact, that a secret meeting took place at the President’s Office of Ukraine. At this meeting Marcin Kuziel, the director of the Liaison Office of NATO in Ukraine participated.
During this meeting, he was criticized by the participants because of the inaction on the part of NATO arguing that both NATO and the EU would do too little to help Ukraine, and that they should engage much more.
Kuziel replied that Ukraine should instead do much more to draw both NATO and the EU in the conflict.
He recommended more intensive privatization, with the aim of capitalizing on the flow of capital from EU-states and NATO members to Ukraine. Entire industrial complexes should be sold off as quickly as possible to investors from the EU and the U.S.
He further recommended that the Ukraine should specialize in the production of sophisticated weapons technology (We recall that Ukraine had until quite recently beeb among the top ten arms exporters).
In short: Kuziel recommended openly that the Ukraine should change their strategy and draw the EU, USA and NATO directly into the conflict, instead of constantly asking for help. Instead of keep waiting to use rapid privatization of state property to involve Western partners directly to the cause of the Ukrainian government.
