[Telegraph] Sellafield nuclear plant staff told to stay home after ‚elevated levels of radioactivity‘ detected 31 Jan 2014 The Sellafield nuclear plant has been evacuated after „elevated levels of radioactivity“ were detected. More than 10,000 non-essential staff have been told to stay at home following problems at the site in Cumbria, which is the biggest nuclear site in the UK.
