One of the correspondents of Iran’s English language television network Press TV has been attacked by insurgents in the flashpoint city of Aleppo.
The correspondent and his crew were ambushed by terrorists as they were traveling in their vehicle. The attack occurred just days after terrorists, who are fighting the government troops in Syria, kidnapped four state TV journalists in the north of the capital Damascus. Armed groups have also killed the kidnapped Syrian TV presenter Mohammad al-Saeed. He had been abducted by the insurgents from his home in Damascus in mid-July. On August 6, an explosive device went off in the Syrian state TV headquarters in Damascus, wounding several people, authorities said. Last month, Syrian troops freed two Italian nationals as well as a British journalist and a Dutch photographer who were kidnapped by insurgents.
